What We Do

Buy the Book

Just inside the entrance of the library, there’s a dedicated space where books are available for sale, an ongoing mini-marketplace for literature enthusiasts. This special section is neatly organized, showcasing a variety of books that visitors can purchase for a nominal donation. The concept is simple yet effective: patrons select books they are interested in and contribute through an honor system, where each dollar spent is considered a donation. The net proceeds from these sales are utilized by the Friends to fund various projects aimed at enhancing the library’s services and community outreach programs. The space serves as a constant reminder of the symbiotic relationship between the library and its patrons, where every dollar spent contributes towards enriching the library’s offerings and the cultural fabric of the community.

Book Sales

Throughout the year, the Friends of the Pflugerville Library sponsors several used book sales, which take place at the library. During these one-day sales, visitors can find incredible deals on used hardcover and paperback books, children’s, YA, Blu-Rays, DVDs, CDs, and audiobooks.

Members are entitled to receive five free used books at each sale.

Furthermore, we extend a warm welcome to both members and non-members at our Annual Meeting, where we not only celebrate the achievements of the past year but also offer an excellent opportunity to learn more about the Friends of the Pflugerville Library and how you can get involved in supporting our literary community.

Events

In addition Buy the Book and our Used Book Sales, Friends of the Library volunteers also participate at Back to School nights and Fairs at local schools to introduce students and parents to the benefits of having a Library Card.
